Modification Of An Existing Judgment

Modification of an Existing Judgement

I am Family Law Attorney Teresa Scibelli and I can assist you with the modification of an existing judgment. Over time, as children grow and individuals make changes in their lives, judgments affecting the parties may need to be modified to reflect the new circumstances of the family. All judgments relative to support and custody of children are subject to modification. Many alimony judgments may also be modified. If there has been a material change in circumstance of either party, since the entry of the previous judgment, the judgment is likely subject to modification. For instance, a change in employment, which affects income or hours worked, an illness, or remarriage of a party may warrant modification of a prior judgment.

Additionally, the MA Child Support Guidelines are revised every three years. New guidelines often lead to new calculations of support which justify a modification. If you believe your judgment should be modified, contact our office and we can assist you in determining if a modification is appropriate.

I will guide you through this challenging period in your life to reach the best outcome for your loved ones, your finances and your future.
